Domain Forwarding

Domain forwarding can be provided for you. The most common domain forwarding is done internally for multiple spelling or similar domains.

For example: Your website might be CARS.COM but you also own CAR.COM and would like to have both resolve at CARS.COM. We provide this service for you. The only requirements are that you tell us to do it for you by e-mailing the request to support and that you configure the dns at your registrar the same as the main domian.

This is particularly helpful when the spelling of your domain is confusing or commonly mispelled. Such as bumblebeeworks.com and bumblebeworks.com. By registering both domains and directing both names to bumblebeeworks.com we insure we do not loose valueable traffic to mispellings.

You may have had a website at new.cars.com but have closed it and want all the residual traffic to go to cars.com. This can be done also. We already provide this service by default you would be able to access your website at www.cars.com or cars.com. There is no reason to set up redirects for anything.cars.com unless you had a website at that name and do not want to forefeit any traffic still accessing anything.cars.com.

You may also want external redirects. Since your domain is hosted with us we control the name services. All name requests for your domain are directed to ns1.thecyberweb.net. You might have the need to create an external website such as "NEW.CARS.COM".

We can redirect all traffic to that site through our dns servers. All we require is the IP address that the new website will reside.

We do not have automated systems for dns redirects because most people don't have any idea what they are and would do more damage to their website by changing it.

There is no charge for additional redirects, we provide this as part of your service.
