Adding Random Image Samples
Random
Sample Feature
The random sample feature
allow you to add 3 or 4 images in a row to any page. The primary
intent is to allow you to add a few sample images to your
homepage. The images will rotate each time a visitor acesses the
page, so they will view different images with each visit.
The feature allows you to set
3 images each 200 pixels wide or 4 images each 150 pixels wide.
You can link the pics to the actual item pages or just display
them as plain images.
You can also display the Name,
Price and Description below the images if you choose. You can set
the options from the main shopping cart page under the link
"Random Feature Settings".
The feature can be added to
any page using the inclusion code %%include-randomsample%%. You
can use it on as many pages as you want, but it is not recomended.
However it is a great way to display your products on article
pages or non shopping pages that would not otherwise expose
readers to your products.
The images will appear in a
row as shown below.

Images will change each time
you view the page. One way to limit the images displayed is to
specify one category such as a specials or on sale category. When
a single category is specified only products from that category
wil be displayed. This is particularly helpful when having sale
items you whish to promote.
If there are less than 4
images available, only the number of images available will be
displayed. If you need 4 items to display, make sure you have 4
products with images in the category you specify.
