Fisrt let me say, search engines are as complicated as the internet itself. Submission system are one of the biggest online scams you can get caught up in. SEO (search engine optimization) companys will solict you and promise you the sky. They will do nothing productive for you, and charge you for it. So be careful!

TIP: Try to make the keywords or phrases more specific than just using general categories.

For example, if you sell Jewelry. You can put the keyword Jewelry. However, you will not likely find your site by searching for jewelry as there are millions of other sites already listed.

But, if your company is "Lake Summit Jewelry" and you use "Lake Summit Jewelry" as your key phrase it will make finding your website much easier for customers. The same is true for items. List actual item names rather than general names.

Of course more people will search for Jewelry than an "Opal Cluster Bracelet". But there is no point in being listed at #50,000 if only the top 400 are shown by the search. Using more specific keywords will insure you get listed and people can find your pages.
