Designate Blank Pages - Make Specified Pages Blank

You may find it necessary sometimes to build a page that does not include the full website design. This section allows you to designate pages blank. This means these pages do not have any page formatting other than what you build in the editor -- they will not have any of the standard features such as the title space, background or buttons.

You can use this feature to create advertising pages that you do not want to link to or lead to any place else on your website. You can also use this feature if you want the home page to be an intro or landing page.

To make a page blank, click on the Make Specified Pages Blank link, check the box next to the pages you want blank and click on the Submit button to save your settings.

To create an entry page

  • NOTE: We recommend that you do not have an entry page. Your home is very important for search engine optimization purposes. The less content you have on your home page (i.e., the page you are now using as an etry page), the worse it is for your website. Also, you are forcing your customers to work harder to see your products or services. You should make the shopping experience as easy as possible. This means that you should minimize the amount of clicks people need to make to purchase your products or services.
  • Make the Home page blank (as shown above),
  • Click on the Edit Pages icon at the top, find home in the list, click on Edit and type in the information you want people to see when they go to your website,
  • Make sure that you created a hyperlink to allow people to enter your website. You can learn about creating hyperlinks here.
  • Save your page.
  • Click on the Website Home icon to double check your work.
