Exclude Pages/Buttons From Main Menu

It is often necessary to build pages that you do not want included in the main menu of your website (the menu that appears on the side or top of you website). You may, for example, build a Shipping page, but want it accessible from your Policies page rather than directly from the menu. You could also, for example, build an articles page. You will not want to have every single article come up on your main menu. Instead, you will want someone to click on the Articles button and then be presented with a list of articles. You will then link from that list to each of those articles. To learn how to create those hyperlinks, read this help page (note that you can link both text and pictures).

To exclude pages from the main menu simply check the page(s) you want excluded. If a page is not checked it will appear in the main menu provided you are using a layout that uses a main menu. Every pre-made template has a main menu.

The url to all the pages is shown on the Edit Pages icon page so you can link to the excluded pages from within your other pages. To learn how to create these hyperlinks, read this help page.

Note how in the first picture, Browse and Cars For Sale are marked to exclude from the main menu on your website. But, when you look at the second picture (which is the view you have when you click on the Edit Pages icon at the top), you still see both of those pages listed in your Management Console.
