Finding
the Software
Every new computer has some type of
image editing software that comes preinstalled. If you
have an HP, for example, you might have ImageZone. You
should check your computer to see if you have ANY
software that will allow you to edit your images. To
check for software: click on the Start icon at the bottom
of your computer monitor (), go to Programs, and you will see a list of
all the programs in your computer. Read though the
program names. Usually, the name will make it clear that
it is picture editing software.
If you cannot find software on your
computer, there is free image editing software that is
available. Please be advised that if you download the
software, you
do it at your own risk.

cause problems with your computer. In addition, we cannot give you assistance if you are having a
problem with the download or with a conflict. If you
still would like to download the software download it here.

IrfanView. This is the software that we will use to
demonstrate changing picture size but most others
will be very similar so you should find it easy to
follow along.
If you are using your own software,
you will need to open the application. If you are using
IrfanView, you should have an icon on your desktop: . Double click on the icon to open the
